About Ana

Ana qualified as a registered Dietitian in 2009, registration number DT25349.
Ana is trilingual and is able to carry out dietetic assessments and interventions in English, Spanish and Basque. Ana has 8 years’ experience of working in the NHS her later work was 5 years working in a Mental Health hospital.

Ana’s graduated in Psychology at Bilbao, Spain and postgraduate certificates in Sports and Exercise Nutrition at Coventry University and Motivational Interviewing on Chronic Diseases at King’s College London, UK.

She is able to offer based on her experience: cognitive behavioural therapy with women suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Ana is able to teach; lecture or educate service users, patients, students, other health professionals, catering and colleagues on healthy eating, nutrition support, and the nutritional needs of older adults. Ana is able to conduct data analysis of audits or research projects, organise and evaluate community dietetic events.

Ana has expertise in the dietetic care of those in need of nutrition support, those who are overweight and obese, suffer from diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular diseases, liver disease, disordered eating, and polycystic ovaries syndrome. Ana has first-hand experience in baby led weaning and helps those who exercise improving their performance.

Ana is passionate about health, mind and body. Thus she translates the most up to date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease into practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.
