Kattya qualified as a registered dietitian in 2009 with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
She has 9 years NHS experience and 3 years freelance, charity and private dietetic experience.
She is bilingual, and is able to conduct interviews and assessments in Spanish.
Kattya’s specialist areas include Health and Well-being, Elderly care, Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Catering, and HIV. Kattya supported patients through diet advice for diabetes, weight loss, malnutrition, hypertension, low fat cardiovascular diet. She is trained to support patients suffering from IBS with low FODMAP diet and “Challenging with FODMAPS”.
Kattya has extensive experience of National Hospital Catering from the dietetic, catering and health and well-being aspects. She is able to analysing and developing menus and food labels to follow guidelines as well supporting the company on new contract bids.
She supports through dietetic advice many community charities who offer lunches to the elderly, people living with dementia or grow foods, as we strive to give something back to our community.
Kattya currently focuses on Epidermolysis Bullosa international clinical practice guidelines and research.
She enjoys promoting evidence based dietetics.
As part of the BDA she is also a member of Food Services, Older People and Freelance Dietitians subgroups.
